Writing

I’ve always been a storyteller. Since I was a kid, I’ve been fascinated by complex characters, real and imaginary, and love seeing how their talk to each other, what they get up, how their world works.

Like many writers, I work in service to the story—which means finding the best format for the idea. One group of characters might need to exist in a stage play while another group feels at home in a novel. As a journalist, I may find that a certain story would work best series of short articles, while another should be a long-form essay and another as an oral history.

I also consider format with my work in video games as a Narrative Designer. I know an idea that works well for a linear story might feel incomplete with a branching narrative.  When working on games, I always keep the narrative structure in mind when designing lore or dialogue or scripting cutscenes.

But effective storytelling is not just limited to the narrative world. It exists in the commercial sphere too. As a content writer, I’ve worked with many clients, helping them develop their voice as a brand through media campaigns, website content, and mission statements.

If you’re interested in working with me, feel free to send me a message!

Truth of the Matter was, stories was everything and everything was stories. everybody told stories. it was a way of seeing who they were in the world. it was their understanding of themselves. It was letting themselves know how they believed the world worked: the right way and they way that was not so right.
